Description
The anjat is a tightly woven rattan basket, usually used by the Dayak Benuaq of East Kalimantan to carry one’s belongings.
This motif is called benawa bingkaas or broken long boat. The long boat is the common mode of transport for the Dayak considering the many rivers across the island of Borneo.The rattan used is harvested from sustainably managed rattan gardens. All colorants used are from natural dyes from forest leaves.
