The natural material used in this bag is called “bemban”. It is a reed that thrives even in water and this is why it is also found growing in the buffer areas of the Danau Sentarum National Park. “Bemban” mats are woven by Dayak Iban women in Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan. So far, over 100 motifs of these mats has been documented. The trim and flap of this bag are made of genuine leather.
